Marimekko Theepot Unikko Rood 7 dl
- Gemaakt in Thailand
- Basis: wit
- Inhoud 7 dl
- Diameter: 14 cm
- Hoogte: 18 cm
- Merk: Marimekko
As far as I'm concerned, one of the highlights of the Kleuroptafel Marimekko collection: the Oiva Unikko teapot, with the beautiful red poppies. A wooden curved handle and a wooden cap on the lid. For the Finnish feeling, so to speak... An earthenware tea strainer is hidden under the lid.
When the wooden parts are dry, it is best to rub them with some light (olive) oil until the wood no longer absorbs oil. You can also use so-called butler oil for this, with which you can rub planks and knife handles.
Stoneware teapot (stoneware is slightly harder than earthenware)
Made in Thailand
Base: white
Content 7 dl
Diameter: 14cm
Height: 18 cm
Brand: Marimekko
Washing dishes by hand due to the wooden parts
The white is not the pure white of porcelain, but off-white of earthenware
You may wonder why there are no larger teapots available at Marimekko. Anyway, I asked them. The idea behind this 7 dl teapot is that everyone has their own teapot with their own favorite flavour. Well, of course you can!
Tips for maintenance
The handle is made of wood, once it loses its shine and becomes dry, it is recommended to treat it with a light olive oil. Let the oil soak in overnight and repeat the treatment when the wood absorbs more oil.
Wash the teapot thoroughly by hand after each use. This prevents the build-up of tea stains.
Keep the handle dry as much as possible when washing up!
